Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Preseli Hills, historic towns, and little villages. DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Carmarthen arriving in the afternoon you will have tea/coffee and Welsh cakes and then time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Saundersfoot and Tenby

This morning we travel west to the popular small seaside resort of Saundersfoot, where we stay awhile with time to explore the little harbour, before leaving for the short ride to Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches, Tenby is Southwest Wales’s main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. Our return takes us via Pendine Sands and Laugharne, former home of Dylan Thomas.

 

DAY THREE – Gower Peninsula

Our excursion today takes us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. We visit the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, view the nature reserve of Worm’s Head, and Rhossili Bay, where the 250ft cliff drops steeply to the beach below.

 

DAY FOUR – St Bride’s Bay and St Davids

Today we drive to St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St Davids, birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. St Davids has a beautiful Cathedral, the smallest in Great Britain, well worth a visit. From St Davids we head around the Preseli Mountains back to Carmarthen.

Please Note:  The cathedral sits within a valley.  Visiting the cathedral from St Davids city centre involves descending/ascending relatively steep slopes.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
