DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Stratford arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

DAY TWO – Worcester

This morning after a leisurely breakfast, we head to Worcester - a cultural city with an historic heart. We have a full day here to explore at leisure. Walk down to the River Severn with the option of a cruise or visit the beautiful cathedral, the resting place of King John. The street layout hasn’t changed since the Middle Ages, and you can visit the remains of the city walls and walk paths trod by Romans. With a choice of museums and art galleries, beautiful parks and gardens, or city centre hustle and bustle there’s something here for everyone!

DAY THREE – Stratford-upon-Avon

Today we continue our holiday with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon. Over 800 years old, Stratford-upon-Avon is brimming with medieval, Tudor and Georgian architecture. Perhaps best known for its association with the iconic bard, William Shakespeare, our first stop this morning is a photo opportunity at the idyllic cottage of his wife, Anne Hathaway.

We then head into the heart of the town to Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Hear tales of his family life, explore the exhibitions, and discover how the playwright continues to shape our lives today. The rest of the day is free to explore this lovely town at your own pace. Perhaps take a river cruise, see the famous theatre, or go shopping for souvenirs among the independent shops and boutiques of Henley Street.

DAY FOUR – Cotswolds and Cheltenham

This morning we set off on a wonderful scenic drive into the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Our first stop is Broadway, with its many thatched roofs before we continue on to the delightful market town of Moreton-in-Marsh.  After spending some time here we move on to Stow-on-the-Wold, a quintessential English town with mellow Cotswold stone buildings, a fine selection of shops, chic bistros, inns, and cosy tea shops. Our last stop of the day is Cheltenham, the most complete Regency town in Britain. We have a chance to explore before we head back to the hotel for the evening.
