If you can't get away from looking after the turkey and hosting this Christmas Day, then why not book a Twixmas break? DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your selected pick-up point and travel to Berkshire arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Oxford

This morning we head for Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires. A historic city and home to Britain’s oldest university, Oxford University, which was built in the 11th century. Many scenes from the film, Harry Potter are shot at this university. The Oxford Castle, Hertford Bridge, and The Radcliffe Camera are centuries-old buildings and famous tourist attractions in the city. Enjoy your day at leisure before returning to Littlecote with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY THREE – Salisbury

Today we have an excursion to Salisbury, a Cathedral city of ageless beauty welcoming travellers since 1227.

Salisbury Cathedral sits at the heart of the city as a beacon that has attracted visitors for centuries. This modern medieval city is full of buildings crafted with the care of another age.

Traditionally English with an independent spirit, the city’s living heritage and lively culture is everywhere, and as a creative and independent hub it has captivated visitors and inspired innovation for hundreds of years.

 

DAY FOUR –Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Built in the mid-1500s, this beautiful Grade I listed Tudor manor has a truly unique story. History is literally on your doorstep: the stunning location has played host to occupying Romans, a Tudor tryst and even a Civil War army. The grounds contain an ornate Roman mosaic floor and settlement remains. Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour here, and the D-Day landings were planned within the house. England’s last remaining Cromwellian Chapel in a private house is also here, and the property offers many more historical jewels for you to explore at your leisure. All of this comes with outstanding service, delicious food in our spacious restaurant, live entertainment every night, and a host of activities from tennis to air-rifle shooting.
