DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Kendal arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Lake District Scenic Tour and Keswick

The Lake District offers some of the most stunning scenes of natural beauty in the Northwest of England, it has magnificent rolling fell mountains, craggy rock faces and scenic lakes throughout the area. Today we have a scenic tour of the Lake District and arriving in Keswick for some free time before returning to Kendal later this afternoon with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY THREE – Ullswater Steamer and Grasmere

Today we visit Ullswater, an area of 3.5 square miles, Ullswater is England’s second largest lake and one of its most beautiful, thanks to its zigzag shape and stunning setting. The area surrounding the lake is also famous for inspiring Wordsworth’s poem “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud,” sometimes also called “Daffodils.” We enjoy a Ullswater Steamer Cruise today before making our way south to Grasmere, nestling at the foot of some spectacular fells and with its own lake. The village has many shops, pubs, and cafes. You can also visit Wordsworth's grave in the churchyard and buy the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread.

 

DAY FOUR – Windermere Lake Cruise

This morning we drive to Windermere where we will be greeted by the wonderful Autumnal colours around the last, marvel at the sights you don’t see from the road on our 40-minute cruise.  We’ll then have some time on Bowness-on-Windermere before we return to our hotel later this afternoon.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
