This tour takes us to Dundee where we visit the former home of Princess Margaret Glamis Castle, enjoy a tour of Kingsbarns Whisky distillery, explore the home of Golf St Andrews and enjoy free time in the cities of Dundee and Perth.

DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Dundee arriving late afternoon you will have time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Perth and Glamis Castle

This morning we travel West to historic Perth where we have the morning free to explore the city and have time to grab lunch. In the afternoon, we travel to Glamis Castle, one of the finest castles in Scotland and former home of the Princess Margaret and also the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth.  We have a tour of the historic castle and soak up the beauty of the gardens. Before making our way back to the hotel for dinner.

 

DAY THREE – St Andrews and Kingsbarns Distillery

Our destination today is the former Kingdom of Fife. Heading inland via Cupar to the coast we enjoy a lovely coastal drive through the villages of Elie, Pittenweem and Crail on the way to St Andrews, world renowned home of golf. This is our lunch stop today and we have chance to explore before we head to Kingsbarns Distillery where we enjoy a guided tour and tasting of their Whisky.

 

DAY FOUR – Dundee

Today is free to explore in detail the city of Dundee. You could visit Discovery Point and board Captain Scott’s ship RRS Discovery where you will follow in the footsteps of Scott and his crew, see how they lived, what they ate, witness their hardships and triumphs on their heroic exploration of Antarctica, maybe visit the V & A Museum of Design, enjoy a spot of retail therapy or just sit and watch the world go by.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.
