DAY ONE – Arrival

Join us on an exciting Outlander holiday. From your doorstep as we head north to Stirling and our hotel. Along the way, we'll make leisurely stops for your comfort. Arrive at your hotel with plenty of time to unwind before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Sweeney’s Cruise Loch Lomond and Trossachs Tour

This morning find your sea legs as we take a 60-minute cruise of the Queen of Scottish Lochs, and the largest expanse of fresh water in Great Britain at 23 miles long, the loch’s spectacular scenery and rich wildlife will take your breath away as you encounter it from a new perspective on the water with one of the longest running family businesses in Scotland.

 

This afternoon we have a scenic drive through the Trossachs before heading back to our hotel.

 

DAY THREE – Out’land’ish Guided Tour

A full day today as we are in the hands of the experts with ‘Outlander’ Tour.  In authentic costume our guide will take us on the ‘Outlander’ tour of some of the key sights including medieval masterpiece, Doune Castle, Drummond Castle Gardens and the village of Culross. After our wonderful day we will return to our hotel for dinner this evening.

 

DAY FOUR – Scone Palace and Perth

This morning we have a unique private tour of gothic revival sandstone masterpiece, Scone Palace, where 100 acres of gardens and grounds highlight why this is known as the Crowning Place of Scottish Kings, will unravel the rich history of the likes of Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II. Discover the family home of the Earls of Mansfield and ancient artefacts including the stone of Scone, known as the Stone of Destiny, complete with star-shaped maze to boggle and entertain. After our visit to Scone Palace, we make our way into Perth for some free time before retuning to our hotel for dinner this evening.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we leave our hotel and make our journey home with comfort stops en route.

Originally built as a school in 1854, the hotel lies within easy reach of both Glasgow and Edinburgh and provides the perfect base for exploring the city of Stirling. Proud to be part of the Cairn Collection. There is a lift to the first and third floor in this hotel, The second floor does not have direct lift access as it is a mezzanine level, and there is a very slight set of stairs or ramp from the first and third floor to access it.
