DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Holyhead and our ferry crossing to Ireland. This afternoon we have included a cruise on the River Shannon, Athlone – Clonmacnois before we continue to our hotel.

 

DAY TWO – The Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum and Lartique Monorail

Today, we take the ferry across the Shannon to Tarbert and visit the  unusual recreation of the 1888 Lartigue Monorail train. We enjoy a visit to the Museum and a ride on the monorail before moving on to the Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum where we see the world’s only full size B314 replica flying boat from the era 1937-1945.

 

DAY THREE – Waterford Suir Valley Railway

This morning we journey to Waterford and join the Waterford Suir Valley Railway where we embark on a return journey from Kilmeadean before settling into our second hotel on this holiday.

 

DAY FOUR – Waterford Walking Tour

A guided walking tour of Waterford today lets you find out more about your destination, and your guide will ensure you don’t miss a thing.  Free time then in Waterford to relax.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast, this morning we make our way to the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic replica of a 19th century famine ship. We then return to Dublin and our ferry home.
