DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel north to Lancashire arriving with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Oswaldtwistle Mills and Astley Hall Park & Gardens

First stop today is Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village and Garden Centre. After browsing here, we meet our guide for a tour of the Ribble Valley. On then to Bolton for a traditional lunch at the Olympus Fish & Chip Restaurant. From here, it’s on to a local gem, Astley Hall, with time to explore the parkland, gardens, and café.

 

DAY THREE –  Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, Haworth and Keighley Bus Museum

Today we travel to Keighley for our train journey to Oxenhope Station.  Your coach will collect you from the station and we head to Haworth for some free time and a lunch stop.  This afternoon we make our way to Keighley and explore the Haworth and Keighley Bus Museum.  Returning to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

 

DAY FOUR – Leighton Hall and Lancaster Aqueduct Cruise

Time to head north for a guided tour of Leighton Hall, the ancestral home of the world-renowned Gillow furniture family, which is still a family home today. Then to Barton Grange for our 1hr15min cruise on the Lancaster Canal, enjoying attractive countryside scenery and views of the Bowland Hills, as well as sightings of the canal resident bird life such as the herons, ducks, swans, etc.  We then return to our hotel.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure & Bury

After breakfast we leave our hotel and make our way to Bury for a nice little stop before continuing our journey home.

If no single supplement applies this is limited to the tour single room allocation and therefore additional cost may apply.  Prices displayed are per person unless otherwise stated. If door-to-door pick-up is included there may be additional charges for out of area. Itineraries and hotel inclusions may be subject to change. Seat numbers on the coach may be subject to change. Issues whilst on tour must be raised in the first instance with the driver. Covid-19 restrictions may apply.
